Who Holds Bitcoin Now – And What Uranus in Gemini Means for Your Balance Sheet

Who Holds Bitcoin Now?
A clear look at who really holds Bitcoin today and how the Uranus-in-Gemini era challenges our old idea of financial safety.
Everyone is watching the Bitcoin price. Almost nobody is looking at who actually holds the supply.

If we zoom out and look at the big picture, an approximate snapshot of the 21 million BTC cap today looks something like this:
- Satoshi (early dormant coins) – around 1.1 million BTC that have never really moved.
- Strategy + BlackRock – roughly 1.6 million BTC now sitting in corporate treasury and ETF structures.
- Estimated lost coins – on the order of 3–4 million BTC that may be gone forever.
- All other holders – miners, exchanges, governments, funds, companies, and retail investors.
In other words, a huge part of Bitcoin is either dormant, lost, or locked into institutions. The liquid float available for the average person is much smaller than the 21 million headline number suggests.
This is not just market data. It is a symbol of a deeper timeline.
From Uranus in Taurus: “Value Goes Digital”
Since 2018, Uranus has been in Taurus – the sign of money, land, material security, and what we call “safe” assets. Uranus disrupts, electrifies, and revolutionizes whatever sign it passes through.
During this transit, we watched:
- Major banks and players like JP Morgan move from mocking Bitcoin to building products on top of it.
- Institutions first laugh, then study, and finally begin to allocate to digital assets.
- ETFs, corporate treasuries, tokenization experiments, and CBDC pilots re‑wire the financial system in slow motion.
Uranus in Taurus kept its promise: the ground under the old idea of “safety” has been shaken. Cash, bonds, and real estate did not disappear, but their monopoly on safety is over. A new foundation has been poured – a digital, scarce, programmable layer of value.
Now Uranus Enters Gemini: New Layers on the Foundation
We now stand at the edge of another shift: Uranus moving from Taurus into Gemini. Gemini rules networks, data, information flows, trading, exchange, language, code, and communication.
If Taurus was about what we value, Gemini is about how that value moves, multiplies, and connects.
Put simply:
- Uranus in Taurus: “Bitcoin appears on the balance sheets.”
- Uranus in Gemini: “Bitcoin, AI, networks, and information begin to function as one integrated system.”
The distribution we see now – Satoshi’s dormant stash, institutional blocks, lost coins, and everyone else – is like a snapshot of the foundation just before the next floor of the building is constructed.
What Concentration in Institutions Changes
Seeing Strategy, BlackRock, and other large entities hold such big positions does not mean they “control” Bitcoin. The protocol remains decentralized and global. But this concentration does change the market structure in important ways:
- Lower effective float: Coins held in corporate treasuries and ETFs usually trade less often on open exchanges, tightening real liquidity.
- Stronger hands: These holders tend to think in years and cycles, not in days and hours, creating a more durable base of demand under the market.
- Bigger reflex moves: When new demand arrives into a tighter float, price can reprice faster because there are fewer willing sellers at each level.
At the same time, Satoshi’s estimated million-plus BTC remain dormant, and millions more may be permanently lost. That means the true “available” supply is smaller than the raw 21 million number, even before we talk about new institutional inflows.
Your Balance Sheet vs. the New Era
The real question is not only whether Bitcoin will go up. The deeper question is:
What is your personal or business balance sheet actually built on?
If most of your wealth is concentrated in:
- A single property or home that is hard to move or liquidate.
- Local currency that slowly loses purchasing power over time.
- Bonds and “safe” products designed for the old interest‑rate and inflation regime.
…then you are still anchored in the Taurus‑era definition of security.
Uranus in Gemini asks something more radical: are you willing to liberate yourself from the emotional attachment to the old paradigm of safety, and to learn the language of networks, digital scarcity, and information‑based value?
Liberation Means Rebalancing, Not Destruction
Liberating yourself from the old paradigm does not mean burning everything down or abandoning all traditional assets. It means consciously rebalancing.
That can look like:
- Keeping what still makes sense in the old world – a home you truly use, cash for resilience, specific productive assets.
- Gradually adding exposure to digitally scarce and network‑native assets that are clearly becoming part of the new foundation.
- Shifting your mindset from “static safety” to “dynamic resilience” in a networked economy.
Institutions have already made their choice. The astrological timing is confirming the transition. The only open question is whether personal balance sheets will remain frozen in the past, or start to align with the layer that is evidently being built for the future.
Closing Thought
The transfer of wealth rarely announces itself with a clear headline. It usually begins quietly: a new asset is absorbed by stronger hands, old assumptions weaken, and the future starts building its balance sheet long before the majority understands what is happening.
Right now, we are looking at that process in real time – both on the blockchain and in the sky.
